Homage to the Blessed , Noble and Perfectly Enlightened One
RECOLLECTION OF THE BUDDHA
I-ti-pi so bha-ga-va a-ra-ham sam-ma-sam-bud-dho
Vij-ja-ca-ra-na sam-pan-no su-ga-to lo-ka-vi-du
A-nut-ta-ro pu-ri-sa-dam-ma sa-ra-thi sat-tha de-va ma-nus-sa-nam bud-dho bha-ga-va ti
He the Blessed One , is indeed the Pure One, the perfectly Enlightened One ;
He is impeccable in conduct and understanding, the Accomplished One, the Knower of the Worlds;
He trains perfectly those who wish to be trained; he is Teacher of Gods and humans; he is Awake and Holy.
RECOLLECTION OF THE DHAMMA
Sa-vak-kha-to bha-ga-va-ta dham-mo
San-dit-thi-ko a-ka-li-ko e-hi-pas-si-ko
O-pa-na-yi-ko pat-cat-tam ve-di-tab-bo vin-nu-hi ti
The Dhamma is well expounded by the Blessed One;
Apparent here and now, timeless, encouraging investigation,
Leading onwards to be experienced individually by the wise.
RECOLLECTION OF THE SANGHA
Su-pa-ti-pan-no bha-ga-va-to sa-va-ka-sang-gho
U-ju-pa-ti-pan-no bha-ga-va-to sa-va-ka-sang-gho
Na-ya-pa-ti-pan-no bha-ga-va-to sa-va-ka-sang-gho
Sa-mi-ci-pa-ti-pan-no bha-ga-va-to sa-va-ka-sang-gho
Ya-di-dam cat-ta-ri pu-ri-sa-yu-ga-ni at-tha pu-ri-sa-pug-ga-la
E-sa bha-ga-va-to sa-va-ka-sang-gho
A-hu-ney-yo pa-hu-ney-yo dak-khi-ney-yo an-ja-li ka-ra-ni-yo
A-nut-ta-ram pun-nak-khet-tam lo-kas-sa ti
They are the Blessed One’s disciples who have practiced well ,
Who have practised directly ,
Who have practised insightfully,
Those who practice with integrity;
That is the four pairs, the eight kinds of noble beings,
These are the Blessed One’s disciples.
Such ones are worthy of gifts, worthy of hospitality, worthy of offerings, worthy of respect;
They give occasion for incomparable goodness to arise in the world.
